Suspended linear LED lighting creates different levels of light in a room and provides a task lighting resource where required. Linear LED lighting is mounted to a fixture that hangs from the ceiling on wires, chains or other innovative systems. It can be mounted in a variety of ways to create different styles and lengths.
Architectural features can be strategically illuminated through suspended linear LED lighting, which can also be used to create dramatic or soft accent lighting.
Linear lighting is popular in commercial buildings because of the extensive coverage from one extended unit and the need for an even lumen output. Commercial linear lighting eliminates the dark spots that are often found with traditional lighting.
Collaborative spaces benefit from linear lighting because the light is equally distributed and can be dimmed if required. Commercial linear lighting is also used for outdoor spaces to identify walkways, highlight features of interest and illuminate signage and doorways.
Commercial linear LED lights can be supplied in a range of colour temperatures to create mood and atmosphere, and they are cost-effective due to their low energy use. In current times this will be a welcome saving for any business.
In the majority of applications, suspended LED lights are straight. In recent years, however, interior design has moved towards curved profiles for suspended LED lights. Curved suspended LED lights create an illusion of movement and, particularly in open plan spaces, are effective in subtly separating areas.
For a more eye-catching design, suspended LED lights are increasingly used in geometric schemes which are striking and dramatic.
Detail Lighting use linear lighting in wide range of customer projects.
For the Lucarelli Restaurant in Birmingham we installed Volans linear lighting in the bar area to make a feature of the contemporary and stylish joinery. By concealing the linear Volans LED lighting in the cocktail bar, the bar staff became part of the customer experience.
The Daily Paper clothing brand wanted to draw attention to their merchandise through accent lighting. Using Linear Volans LED profiles we illuminated the shelving areas and recesses where the merchandise was displayed.
At the Kitchens by Holloways showroom in London, the client wanted to feature a particular kitchen layout so we used the low voltage Cortes 48v system to draw attention to the specific area of interest. Hidden linear lighting was also used to add height to the room.
