From our UK operation Detail lighting takes a lifetime responsibility for supporting out products and reducing waste.
Our lighting products are designed and manufactured with whole life carbon considerations.
Made from sustainable materials, our lighting fixtures can be easily dis-assembled and internal components can be replaced or upgraded, and eventually recycled.
Refurbishing is a carbon win, because minimal new emissions went into upgrading the fixture.
Products are labelled with repair & recycling instructions.
Our repair process
Step 1
When your light fixtures don’t work or you are considering upgrading, contact our team about our Repair why Replace? scheme. This can be for any brand of lighting, not just our own fixtures.
Step 2
Arrange to send your light fixtures to us.
Step 3
Our lighting engineers repair or upgrade your fixtures and will send back (with a new warranty).
Lighting fixtures repairs
We offer this service to all brands of lighting products, when we can first evaluate the potential to repair.
Not only is repairing and upgrading an opportunity to fix the lighting, but specifiers and designers may also want to consider improved technical performance and functions e.g. colour tuning, beam angles, improved controls.
The circular model uses fewer raw materials during the manufacturing process, but also involves designing products to last much longer which are fully repairable and recyclable.

Our sustainable lighting in action
In collaboration with the specialist house designer Baufritz, we are excited to share this lighting project that we both designed and supplied. The house efficiency is exceptional, incorporating solar panels and battery walls to reduce CO2 emissions. We also cleverly included the latest LED technology with fixtures that exceed 100 lumens/watt.
