While all our sustainable lighting design projects demonstrate our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and minimising energy costs, our lighting scheme for a project completed in Surrey clearly demonstrates the impact of combining bespoke sustainable lighting design with technology.
For this project we collaborated with AV and technology experts and the project architect. Our brief was to create a contemporary lighting scheme with integrated smart technology to seamlessly work with the rest of the technology in this high tech property.
The Scandinavian design of the large family home was based on neutral tones and contrasting black accents with natural wood and simplistic furnishings throughout the property. Our lighting scheme was to highlight architectural features and create a warm and relaxing environment.
For the interior, we used a combination of downlights for ambient and task lighting, tunable LEDs, surface mounted dimmable spotlights, uplighting and step washing fixtures, shelf lighting, and linear LED strip lighting for large joinery installations. Outside, a mix of exterior lighting products were specified, including ground spotlights that we used to uplight external pillars.
